Facebook has updated its Conversion Lift analytics tool and now you will be able to see how effective your ad will be before your ads are live. How it works is that Conversion lift will test ad campaigns against a control group. Ads will be served to a test group that is random and then another group that will not see the ads. The results are then compared and the information is combined with other sets of data from Facebook and other tools.
You will also be able to use the tool to test content, not just types of ads. You will be able to see how images compare to video and mobile vs desktop to name a few.
