I the pleasure of speaking with Lori Bruhns, a local business and success coach last week. Those episodes aired all last week. One thing that resonated with me was the fact that she said “do you do best, and delegate the rest”. I truly believe in that. I actually had some opportunity this past week to utilize some outside resources for graphic design as well as some other administrative tasks that I needed to complete.
One thing that is important to do is make sure that you involve the right people and the right talent to help you further grow your business. There will be times where you have weaknesses or do not know how to do something. Do not feel like you need to shore up those weaknesses. You can hire somebody to take care of those tasks and do those items for you and still succeed.
At times you will save money to do it yourself, but keep in mind that you probably need to learn how to do it, possibly by tools to complete that task, where if you maybe need it infrequently, you can actually pay for and you are saving a lot of time, which does equate to money.
Again, delegate some items that you can and take things off your plate, this way you can focus on your core strengths when it comes to your business.
