This is Hank Hoffmeier with a marketing and business tip.
Last week, I had Mike Mabe on, and he is a local leadership consultant. I really enjoying having some lengthy conversations with him. We talked about spending quality quiet time, absorbing information, reading, or spending time with family, as well as health.
It is important to take a step back and decompress from the stress of running a business, or doing work and making sure you are pressing the reset button. But also making sure your transparent as well as being honest in your business, this way your customers and employees can relate to you, the value you are trying to bring the marketplace. They will trust you more and more when it comes to your communications, whether it is internal or through social media, or advertising. It is building that brand recognition.
Make sure you have a well rounded business plan and have some really focused goals when it comes to not only working hard and working long hours, but you are dedicating time to recognizing what your customers are doing, as far as providing feedback and purchasing from you and your employees may be providing information feedback on how to run your business better. And more importantly, what you doing is you are spending time focusing on yourself. Nurturing your brain, letting your brain relax and rest so that you are focused, so you really can engage in what you want to and need to do each day to run a successful organization or company.
I thought those discussions with Mike were were spot on, and I hope to have him on again future. I had Lori Bruns on a few weeks ago and she provided information about being productive. Make sure you are listening to those tips that they provided, as well some the information that I am providing to help you along the way become a better leader, a better business owner, and person in general.
