Today, Timothy Robbins and I talk about content creation. His company, Today Creative, is a content creation company. They create content for customers to help with inbound marketing. Inbound marketing is using content or marketing tactics to drive traffic or leads back to your website.
You can use informational and valuable content to share in hopes to raise awareness. I bring up the fact that not enough businesses use content marketing. Timothy said that there are strategies that you can use to create content. It can be simple. Use your phone and laptop to create. Use it. You will be your own biggest critic, but people will see the value of the content and not the quality of the sound or video.
Creating content can take a lot of time, but it helps customers get to know you and builds brand loyalty. You can use video or podcasts, which are a great way to provide a personal touch. Podcasts are becoming more and more popular, so you should look into it.
We discuss working with and paying for a content company or consultant. What you are paying for is the knowledge, experience, and expertise. You need to work on your business rather than in it.
Working with an outsourcing company can be convenient and helps save time. It might be difficult to outsource a podcast since it should be your voice, but a content company can come out and record some audio. They can also edit it for you.
If you are going to work with a content company, make sure to work with someone that you can trust to convey your brand message. Do some research.
Timothy’s last tip is to just go out and create content. Don’t worry about the end result. You can always do it over.
