HMBT #115: Does Hard Work Equal Success?

I was recently on a Facebook group and someone posted the question, “Do you have to work hard to be successful”?

Working hard means you are doing the wrong things and failing. What you need to be doing is work smart and passionately. Yes, you will work long hours and spend money. Working hard means that the things that you are doing are “hard”. Why is that? Maybe it is because you are not knowledgeable in what you are doing or maybe doing tasks that you should delegate. Use Fiverr to do some of the things that you can offload.

You need to become knowledgeable in the things that you are doing so that you can optimize your efforts and energy.  If you are forcing things to happen or forcing yourself to complete tasks, there is something wrong.

Again, work smart and optimize your outcomes. Always learn about how you can be working better on your business rather than in it.  Working hard does not equal success.

Also, use people in your network to help you become knowledgeable and help hold you accountable. They can, at times, sure up your weaknesses. If you have a strong network, they will be willing to help you.
