This is the year of success. I am making sure of it. In November, I sat down and planned what I want to do this year.
For Social Post Interactive, I went from wanting to help businesses (any) with their digital marketing campaigns to narrowing down the types of companies that I can help best. This will allow me to focus better and provide better value.
In my teens, I worked through high school as a landscaper. In 2004, I started and and ran my own landscaping business for 12 years. I recently sold that business to focus on digital marketing, but I have learned how to successfully run and market service based business.
When I thought of who I want to help this year, it was a no brainer that I chose to work with service companies. I will be able to use my knowledge and experience to help other business owners succeed and grow their companies.
I have been hard at work creating content and tools to assist with my goals of providing value to my specific audience. Starting off this year, I recently developed a quick social media guide as well as a comprehensive social media how to guide. Over the weekend, I created a weekly social media planner specifically for service businesses.
When you own a service based company, your core focus need to remain on running your business and servicing your clients. It is difficult to remember that you need to capture video, Images or details of something that would be good to share on your social media channels.
This free planner will help proactively plan for the week and also be a reminder for opportunities to capture the moment. It also has a section to plan out odd national holidays that are industry specific.
The other day, I met with MIke Mabe from NSL Coaching to discuss how we can partner together to help entrepreneurs and small business owners success in starting or running their business.
We are planning to run a free local workshop about marketing and business leadership. We may even offer an online version. We are in the early stages of planning the workshop, so stay tuned!
This is going to be a great year for small businesses. Technology continues to become easier to use and more affordable. This will allow small companies to attract more business and run their companies more efficiently.
I hope that you will let me know how I am doing on my goal of proving value and helping service companies grow.
