First Snapchat, then Instagram, now Facebook will have “stories”. Stories are pictures and videos that disappear after 24 hours. Stories are not included in the News Feed.

Users will see circular profile images at the top of their Newsfeed and when one is tapped on or clicked, it will bring you to that user’s Stories.  You will also be able to apply filters and effects.

Facebook App

You will be able to add photos and videos on the fly as well as any you have from the last 24 hours. Facebook must have seen some success with Instagram Stories since 150 million people are using it.

I myself have been posting my Instagram pics and videos to Facebook, but you cannot share Instagram Stories to Facebook. I guess that they are trying to get users to use each platform equally.

Do you use Instagram stories now?
