I recently had the pleasure to speak with Brandy Martin from Tarheel Tree Service in Haw River, NC. After going over their website and discussing some digital marketing campaigns, we decided to record our conversation.
When Tarheel Tree started 36 years ago, their main channels for attracting new clients was using the Yellow Pages and through word of mouth referrals. Since that time, consumer attention has shifted online. People now rely on Google, Facebook, Yelp, Angie’s List and other social channels to find service providers.
Brandy knows that she needs to make a shift in how they market their services. She is willing to embrace change. Using Facebooks ads and starting a company blog to provide value and attract new clients is going to be a priority in the next few months.
To be relevant is to be found online. With their newly completed website and newly found interest in focusing energy to their online presence, more and more people will be able to find Tarheel Tree Service. They still obtain a good amount of reviews and referrals since they provide professional and friendly service, but they know that they need to move into the digital space since many of their potential clients are there.
