Hank’s Marketing and Business Tip #53: Keyword Planner

Transcription:

This is Hank Hoffmeier with a marketing and business tip.

What I would like to discuss today are keywords. Keywords are found in advertising, as well as on websites. Most times people will choose keywords that are closely related to their business, and at times create some that might correlate to their business, but they are not very well-known or may not be closely (100%) related.

What you can do is use a keyword tool such as Google’s keyword tool to help you find similar or like keywords to use in your advertising, whether it is pay-per-click, or setting up audiences on Facebook ads, as well as in your metadata on your website: your keywords and description. Using a keyword tool will allow you to use keywords you find more or help you fill out a landing page or website page  by having the tool scrape your site, pull out terms that are there and provide more. Or list a category and a tool will provide options to you.

This is a great tool to help you not only find keywords for advertising and websites, maybe even help you create content, whether it is a blog, video, or other written type of communication. So again, you should look at Google Adwords tool to help you obtain some new keywords to use in your advertising on your website or within your ads. Just Google keyword planner from Google and you will find it. Then you will be on your way to crafting better content for your ads, marketing, and most importantly have better targeting.

That is all for today’s marketing and business tip. If you would like to listen to previous tips, you can go to HankHoffmeier.com/Alexa and also subscribe on iTunes. W will see you next time.
